María Hernando Sánchez, although her friends call her Mar, is a graphic designer who graduated from the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Murcia (EDI), a Fine Arts student and a student of the Master’s Degree in Artistic Production and Management at UMU. Her practice combines the conceptual and symbolic weight of art with graphic design tools to generate critical reflection. She believes in art and design as drivers of social change. She works through photography, installation, editorial design and technology, with special attention to the female gaze, memory, the body and violence.
